Mr. Samson also states that Platinum Equity is a well-capitalized company that is more than prepared to lead the way in the marine industry. The company has maintained a disciplined approach over the years in managing portfolio companies. Platinum Equity plans to continue supporting the business and taking advantage of solid opportunities as they become available. The company feels that the marine industry has quite a lot of potential and is excited to be a part of it. While devising new strategies for the future of the acquired brands, Platinum Equity is doing all it can to protect the customers, suppliers, dealers, and employees of these brands.

With the transition underway, Platinum Equity is currently in the process of establishing the former Genmar Brands as a business apart and under a new corporate name. This new corporate identity and its details will be announced as the process progresses.

Organizing and Leading

David Huls, formerly the Senior Vice President and CFO of Genmar, has been appointed as President and Chief Financial Officer of the newly consolidated holding company. According to Mr. Samson, with over five years of experience at Genmar, David Huls has the experience and demonstrated leadership skills that culminate in an ability to accomplish the organization’s goals. These traits make Mr. Huls the ideal candidate to lead the newly formed organization.

Mr. Huls has stated he is excited and honored with this opportunity and the ability to work with so many talented people. He feels that partnering with Platinum is a first step toward the needed stability required to move forward and aggressively support the success and further growth of the boating brands. Mr. Huls has further stated that rebuilding confidence in the company throughout is a number one priority. Prior to the acquisition, the challenges that faced the employees, suppliers, and dealers proved to be quite difficult, according to Mr. Huls. However, with hard work and a renewed spirit of collaboration, he feels the entire organization will prosper as a whole.

Executives Leading Various Brand Operations

With more than 20 years already under his belt, Randy Hopper will oversee Stratos Boats, Ranger Boats and Champion, as well as continue on as President of Wood Manufacturing, a section set apart from the other brands.

Jeff Olson will be continuing as President of Four Winns and Wellcraft, while Mike O’Connell has been placed as the Presiden of Glastron Boats.

Platinum Equity has designed a more decentralized and flatter organizational structure, allowing for independence of the brand management teams – all the while without compromising any efficiencies. The combination of seasoned industry veterans and the Platinum team will ensure reliable positioning to lead the brands, as well as the entire business into the future.

Completed Sale of Additional Assets

Platinum Equity has confirmed its completion of the acquisition of certain other assets from Genmar Holdings. These assets were sold to J&D Acquisitions, LLC in a transaction that was announced on January 21, 2010. J&D Acquisitions is controlled by Jean-Paul Dejoria and Irwin Jacobs. Included in the assets sold were The Larson, Fincraft, and Seaswirl boat brands and the Little Falls, Minn. manufacturing facility attached to these brands; VEC Technology, LLC with facilities located in Greenville, Penn; the Seaswirl manufacturing facility and related assets located in Culver, Ore.; the Windsor Craft boat brand and its related assets; and the Triumph boat brand and its related assets.

Mr. Samson has expressed how pleased Platinum Equity is with the negotiations involving Irwin Jacobs and his team. The entire process went quickly and efficiently. Platinum Equity feels that the most logical owner of the assets should be J&D. According to Mr. Samson, Irwin Jacobs has a passion for the boating industry and an extreme amount of loyalty to the Little Falls facility, the community, and its people. With the current arrangement in place, the Little Falls facility can remain up and running, which will protect jobs for so many who many have otherwise lost their livelihood. Platinum Equity is proud to have played a part in the final solution. sverige-info.

Platinum Equity has recently announced the acquisition of numerous boat brands and their related assets from Genmar Holdings, Inc. The transaction was completed under Section 363 of the U.S Bankruptcy Code and was approved by the U.S Bankruptcy Court within the District of Minnesota on January 13, 2010.

Included in the acquisition were Stratos, Wellcraft, Glastron, Ranger, Stratos and Four Winns boat brands, transportation equipment and related real estate assets, and manufacturing facilities along with related operations located in Cadillac, Mich., Flippin, Ark., and Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Transition and Support

According to Louis Samson, the principal at Platinum heading the investment, the brands acquired have loyal customer bases, rich heritages, and opportunities to grow despite the challenges facing the boating industry at this time. With Platinum’s strong track record regarding support of companies facing difficult transitions, the company anticipates and looks forward to putting the acquired brands on a path leading to long-term growth and greater profitability. Additionally, the boat brands will be backed by Platinum Equity, a company with extensive operational resources and a several billion dollar capital base. tagheuerformula.

The first step in applying recognition is to make a general reference. For example saying, “Mary, you did a great job last week.” is a starting point. You can recognize someone when they exceed expectations. You can recognize someone when they continually meet expectations. You can recognize someone who meets an expectation they haven’t met before. When you catch your son, daughter, fellow worker, or spouse doing something right let them know about it. You want to look for opportunities to recognize others. This is what positive force people do.

The second step to make recognition meaningful is to give a specific example of what you liked. For example you say “Mary, I noticed how you handled that unhappy customer last week and I was impressed.” When you tell someone specifically what you like it makes recognition more meaningful. It also increases the chances of them repeating the desired behavior again. This works well in business and in life.

The third step is to mention the person’s personal qualities. For example, “Mary, your patience and listening skills were obvious, you never lost your temper and focused on your customer.” When you mention personal qualities you make it real. You have noticed what they did and that is more meaningful to the person you recognize.

The fourth and final step is to focus on the resulting benefits. For example, “Thanks to your efforts Mary that angry customer left as a happy one and will come back to us in the future. I noticed and appreciate what you did.” These same four steps can be used as a parenting skill and there are a variety of situations where you can apply recognition. People who are positive forces recognize others. Recognition can move mountains and is an important skill to being a positive force for others.

Your son cut the lawn without being asked. Your daughter cleaned up the kitchen. Your spouse washed your car. Your salesperson exceeded their goals. Your receptionist is always on time. It’s easy to take someone for granted. Whatever you take for granted you tend to lose. You want to look for opportunities to recognize others and be a positive force. Thanks for tuning in and I look forward to seeing you in my next article. xtracms.

Recognition is a powerful tool that can encourage and maintain a new, positive behavior. When you are a positive force for others you are quick to recognize and destructive criticism is the last thing on your mind.

Often in my management and leadership programs I’ll ask the participants if they believe recognition is an important skill to change behavior and show appreciation. After the hands go up and there is general agreement I ask the same participants to show me when and how to apply recognition. Suddenly the room goes silent. It has been my experience that less than 20% of managers know how to apply this valuable people skill. My question is if these same mangers don’t apply recognition in the workplace how can they do the same at home with their spouses, friends and children? We have recognition deprivation in our society. Recognition can move mountains!

Some confuse recognition with the rah-rah hype. Hype is when someone continues to back slap with the same meaningless comments repeated over and over again. This approach may work for the short term but over time is often perceived as superficial, insincere and can be counter productive. Recognition when applied properly is a powerful people skill that managers, teachers, parents, spouses and others can use to show appreciation, change or re-enforce positive behavior. aidim.

You don’t want a property manager that responds to that question with the answer “When there is a maintenance problem”. You want a property manager that will visit the property at least every 30 days, as well as when there is bad weather or any issue that may cause a maintenance problem or repair.
2. Do you have a maintenance crew available 24 hours a day? A good reliable property management company will be able to answer this question without hesitation. This way you know that your property and tenants will be taken care of whenever something arises.
3. What sort of screening do you perform on potential tenants? Property management is responsible for selecting appropriate tenants, through careful credit, employment and background screening you can be assured that your property will be inhabited by responsible tenants.
4. What fees do you charge? In the Vancouver WA. Area you may come across property managers who charge a percentage of the property income, or a flat rate per month to manage the property. Select which method works best for you.
5. What documentation will I receive from you? A good property manager will send you a monthly report of all the income and expenses from the property as well as a yearly tax report.
6. What other properties do you manage in the area? This is important so that you can personally drive by and see how these properties are maintained. You don’t want to select a Vancouver WA. Property manager that will leave your property to fall into ruin.

When looking for a property manager in the Vancouver WA area, there are several things that you will want to consider. Trusting someone to manage your property and maximize your investment requires knowing many different things about the property manager and their company.

Morgenstern, J: 2007 Organizing From The Inside Out

If you want someone to assist you in your office, the space will need to be organised. Look around your workspace. Can you find everything you need immediately? Could anyone else? Or are important tools and documents buried beneath clutter?

Julie Morgernstern claims that you can have an organised office by taking three simple steps:

1. Stand back and take stock of your current systems
